I have had my Vulcan for a year now and love it. This baby is beautifully balanced, the factory exhaust has a nice rumble to it, and the large seamless teardrop gas tank is a beauty. Many companies are now offering accessories for this bike. At a glance, many people have mistaken this for a HD. But when they take a closer look they realize it isn't. You can't beat the price either.
Upgrades/Accessories: I have installed Kawasaki’s chubby saddle bags, large windshield, sissy bar/back rest, Hard Krome 3" Equilizer Staggard Straights exhaust, Dynojet Power Commander III USB, and a Cobra Freeway bar. I have one recommendation on the HK pipes - don't run the louvered baffles that come with them; they sound like crap. HK has a perforated baffle and straight thru baffle available for these pipes; run either of those. Or you can do what I did and make a custom set of baffles from a set of HP-Plus Baffles. I cut the ends of the louvered baffle that came with the pipes, pulled the louvered insert and replaced it with the HP-Plus baffle, and then welded it back together. Close as you will get to a HD sound. Bub Staggered Cut Chambermaids are similar to the HK Equilizers, but a smaller diameter - they also have a nice sound to them. My next upgrades will be Mustang Studded Wide Touring Seat with Driver Backrest and matching Sissy Bar Pad with Conchos, Küryakyn foot pegs for the freeway bar, Kawasaki’s Light Bar, Laydown License Plate Mount, Küryakyn ISO Grips w/Throttle Boss, and a Thunder Hurricane Air Kit.
